It could've been far worse if the kingdom came earlier. Villagers will be killed cause they won't give up the island/gold. Gold will be stolen, land would be forcefully claimed. Shandians would be extinct. Yes, Norland would be branded as a hero to the kingdom people but a killer, thief, deceiver for those of shandians. So i guess that was a better outcome, norland being called a liar and executed. His sacrifice was not in vain. The face of that king, his face says it all. He for sure wouldn't stop till he clears all gold in that island. But yeah, it was sad indeed. (Anyways im back again to chat with u lmao)
I completely agree with you bro. Thanks for saying that out loud in the comment section. You eased my pain a bit. But... Ya... It is a bit sad that even 400 years later his descendants are still having his punishment and even after all these years Shandians couldn't return to their home...
Not sure about liar/hero but Noland was a big time fool for sure.. he could've kept silent about the city of gold but he legit led the whole army to plunder their city and pretended to fake care about them

I disagree that this was a better outcome because dying unnecessarily is and will never be the better outcome, just like what Noland believed. And If ever, the Lvneel Kingdom pillage and harm Shandora, I think Calagara and Noland will fight together to protect the tribe, and we know theyre both monsters. Most probably if Noland and Calgara was able to meet, the Shandorians will willingly give their gold— except for the belfry ofc, to the Luvneel Kingdom just like they willingly give it Noland the first time they visited. And for me, that was way better outcome. Dont you think?
True, Shandians were okay with getting robbed of everything except the bell. But that king definitely would've stolen it too
Dude u seem like a nice guy but your prof pic is just disgustang
😂 i'll change it. I always forget to do it lol
Oh okay nice
i agreeeee, tho its still sad...
Btw are u like rewatching one piece? Cause it seems u know things about the latest episodes. U were putting spolier tags and stuff.
yup, i tried rewatching again but as in watching them all with fillers since im trying to comment on every episode of one piece
Oh okay xD get some sleep too. Not just watch
You still watching after a year?
I feel bad for Calgara more, imagine not being able to thank the only person who was your friend who saved your entire civilization from genocide, attacking him and he leaves quietly leaving all the gold and treasure behind. That's the ultimate regret, it ate him till the very end
The fact that both noland and calgara were worried about each till their last moment (个_个) They never should've mentioned publicly about the existence of a gold city. Humans are selfish.
Such a heartbreaking, yet a wholesome episode /(ㄒoㄒ)/~~
im crying(╥﹏╥) the fact that both waited for each other's reunion but tragedy happened instead:((this is so sad:'(
This 3 episodes of flashback story about Noland is absolutely amazing, it's the best so far. Oda never fails to impress us with the beautifully arranged stories, it's so fucking awesome. I am glad I started watching One Piece.
At least some people knew Norland wasn't a liar.
Poor snake, he suffered for such a long time
Seeing the King's reaction, I don't think Norland would've won either way. If the kingdom was there, the King's army would've taken the gold by force and Norland would've become an enemy to his best friend's people; on the other hand he was still seen as a hero to Calgara's people, but a liar to his own. The only best outcome would've come out of silence. They didn't take the gold that was offered to them, so there was no proof that they went to such a place. Norland is badass.
Damn i cried. What a great friendship they had
Noland is literally a G, why did bro have to die like that, the story of his regret was so touching
Man, you can really see why Wyper's people would be that angry- and Eneru just destroying it all.
Nolands story s so sad:((
can’t believe some people skip this arc
I mean luffy doesn't get any powerups and he has a good adavantage against main villain
And it has slow pacing...
And this arc has the best story so far 👍
Im not crying because of norlands death
nor the fact that calgara found out that norland died. im even happy about that.
but im crying because they couldnt reunion once before that
Calgara died before noland right? This would have happened right after the island got blasted into the sky.
putangina mo enel
Done watching episode 1 to 188 and here I'am watching episode 189 right now
Boy you don’t gotta keep spamming this

My wisdom~
HOW TRAGIC
KEEP HYDRATED AND HEALTHY FAM! <3 DONT FORGET TO TAKE BREAKS FROM NOW AND THEN SO U WONT DIE OF HUNGER AND DEHYDRATION.
HOW DID YOU WATCH ONE PIECE SO FAST!
No offense but shandians must be the dumbest people to ever exist in one piece-
🥺🥺🥺
entry 164 - oka
i think if the bell nowhere to be found my guy luffy is gonna use boulder that stuck in hand as bell to make the sound just a funny thought
Yes
that gold ball, if truly gold(and not brass), weighs at least 25 tons.
What a good story
I like Noland but man how naive is he!? the king and his army wouldve fucked up this friendship
Dyam , Noland had it rough 🥲
But there are other characters who had more rough fate
Why did the shandians have wings as well tho? I can understand if the newer generations had them since they lived in the sky but what about their predecessors?
15:49 Isn't that Igaram?
man calgara and noland's story was wayyyy too beautiful im in tears
Tell me I'm not the only one who cried for Noland and Calgara. To think they died not knowing the fate of each other. Gold or not they never got to meet again.
This a beautiful arc, its so sad that noland is tagged as liar for 400years. I hope thats going to change by end of the arc.
No wonder wyper is angry and do not trust anyone.
I swear Norland is one of the best adventurers out there, he died branded as a lair and that's so sadddd (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)(╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻
